The Importance of Maintaining Health During the Covid-19 Pandemic – The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic is certainly a different impression for millennials or humans this century. However, the Covid-19 pandemic is not the first outbreak on earth to shake the world.
Fear, worry will only be the next human problem, such as immunity is likely to decrease, the brain is full of the negative stigma that results in dizziness, full of burden, which of course affects the health of the body, not only that, mental health is also affected. This of course has an impact on all levels of society who participated in feeling the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Whether he is a labourer, farmer, trader, teacher and even leaders, even all ages are the target of the Covid-19 virus. It doesn’t hurt for us to be vigilant in facing this pandemic, but still with wise vigilance and distinguish it from excessive fear or worry.
During my transition as a student, I was quite shocked under various circumstances. activities as a student that I have just been doing for about 6 months must require me to adapt again in this pandemic period with lecture activities as usual but limited to virtual media or online.
At the beginning of an online lecture, it is certainly an experience and full of impressions. However, continuing to the next lectures creates a burden of its own, more and more tasks, online continues, on the other hand, we have to maintain a healthy immune system.
Also, recently there have been a lot of complaints about mental health from friends. Even based on a survey conducted by the kaiser family foundation, an organization that focuses on national health issues, as well as the role of the US in global health policy, it shows that nearly half of the people in the US feel the Covid-19 crisis which is detrimental to their mental health.
What We Do to Maintain Health during the Cocid-19 Pandemic?
Regarding complaints and various health problems, of course, we are familiar with various efforts to prevent the spread and control of Covid-19, both from television media broadcasts, social media or other platforms. Even videos circulating regarding proper handwashing, how to wear or make masks, even making natural hand sanitizers.
However, despite all that we pay less attention to our mental side, with the suggestion of isolation, self-quarantine, or #dirumahaja, of course, limit our activities as usual. The pattern of daily activities seems to have to be changed by circumstances, where this change requires adaptation.
Although this recommendation was highly targeted at ODP (people in monitoring), this was a concern for other residents. Further understanding and counselling are needed in this regard. Not only that, the fulfilment of household needs that must be fulfilled is also a problem in itself for family heads or individual breadwinners.
Pyshical distancing in the Covid-19 Pandemic season does not mean ignoring each other, even sensitivity to the environment and the crowd really needs to be improved in this case in order to know each other and take care of each other instead of dropping or even making fun of them.
